The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, had planned surgery on her stomach earlier this month at The London Clinic. Kensington Palace said the surgery went well. She will likely stay in the hospital for 10 to 14 days before going home to continue her healing.
The Palace also said that Middleton probably won’t be able to go back to work until after Easter, because her doctors have told them not to. She is glad that people are interested, but she wants to keep her kids’ normal routine and her own medical details secret.
As a sign of support, Middleton’s husband, Prince William, has put off his royal tasks to be with her while she heals. The Sun says that Prince William has been to see his wife every day since she was hospitalised.
Their kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, haven’t seen their mum in the hospital yet, though. Emily Nash, a royal writer, thinks that the family will probably stay in touch through FaceTime, since Middleton loves talking to her kids often.
Nash also says that Middleton knows how important family time is and can’t wait to see her kids again when she gets back home. Both Prince William and Middleton put a lot of value on being involved parents. They often go to school events and spend time with their kids.
While Middleton heals, Prince William will take care of their kids so that things stay normal at home. During this hard time, it’s clear that the royal pair is dedicated to their family.
We hope Kate Middleton gets better quickly and can’t wait for her to be seen again in public.
